Doctor of Technical Sciences, MA in Design, certified trainer of coaching, winner of the National Prize of Ukraine named after Borys Paton.
Since her graduation from Kherson National Technical University in 1999, professor Olena Chepelyuk has been closely involved in teaching and scientific activity at her alma mater, first at the Textile Technologies Department, then at the Design Department, the latter she had been directing for 13 years. From May 2022 till April 2023, she was Acting Rector. On 14 July 2023, Olena Chepelyuk was inaugurated as Rector of Kherson National Technical University.
The scope of her scientific interests embraces theoretical problems of fabric design and fabric formation process on looms, textile design, felting; ergonomics; psychology, including psychological aspects of teaching under current challenging circumstances (covid, war, online teaching), cross-disciplinary innovations in research and teaching; and leadership in education. Author of more than 200 scientific papers.
She is an Organizing Committee General Chair of the International scientific and practical conference “SYNERGY OF SCIENCE AND BUSINESS IN THE POST-WAR RESTORATION OF KHERSON REGION”. Member of the Union of Rectors of Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions. Deputy Head of IDP Council of Khmelnytskyi Region.
