The Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Economic Security operates within the Faculty of Economics, Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship. The department is a graduating department, which provides education of specialists in specialty 051 "Economics" by educational degrees:

- Junior Bachelor of Science (license of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Order No. 941-л, 05.07.2019);

- Bachelor of Science (license of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Order No. 778-л, 05.06.2019);

- Master of Science (license of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Order No. 778-л, 05.06.2019);

- PhD (license of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Order No. 778-л, 05.06.2019).

Specialty 051 "Economics" is accredited:

- at the first (bachelor) higher education level (certificate НД № 2296487, valid until 01.07.2027);

- at the second (master's) higher education level (certificate НД № 2290314, valid till 01.07.2027).

The department occupies one of the leading places in terms of educational and methodological and scientific potential among the departments of the Faculty of Economics, Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship.

The department prepares specialists in the specialty 051 Economics by educational programs:

Economist is one of the most prestigious and demanded professions in the labor market. Economists are in demand wherever they need to plan and calculate, where they need to control their spending, analyze their business’s performance, and suggest ways to solve problematic situations.

The role of the economist’s profession in today's realities is growing, he is obliged to foresee the importance of certain indicators, to see the dynamics of the enterprise’s development, investment project, region, state, to warn the manager from wrong actions. It is the economist’s profession that enables one to understand from within what mechanisms work in the economic life of society, how they can be managed to achieve maximum results.

A competent, talented, efficient economist is very prestigious to be. Given the unenviable state of the country's economy, there are undoubtedly really competent and good economists in short supply, and perhaps it is they’re most pressing and pressing need right now.

Advantages of the profession: the economist’s profession is in high demand in the labor market. The versatility of the profession allows you to find a job in any field of economy. Having specific economic knowledge, you can start your own business without risking becoming unprofitable.

The Bachelor's Degree is the starting point of a continuous learning process throughout the conscious life.

A Junior Bachelor's diploma will give you the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor's degree with a shortened term of study (2 years).

The Bachelor's Degree allows you to choose the best option for yourself:

- to start professional activity in the chosen specialty;

- to continue studying at the first (Bachelor) higher educational level, but also for the shortened term of study (2 years) and to obtain the higher educational degree «Bachelor» in the specialty 051 «Economics».

The Bachelor's degree in specialty 051 «Economics» provides an opportunity to work for economists, accountants, regulators, financiers in enterprises of various forms of ownership, specialists in tax authorities, in banks, specialists in supply and sale in various divisions of organizations and enterprises of any industry and property form.

The purpose of the program is to prepare qualified economists for enterprises of various industries, who are able to make management decisions, carry out an economic evaluation of the enterprise effectiveness, as well as to start their own business.

A feature of the program is its interdisciplinarity, which consists of the study of Economics, Management, Marketing, Accounting and Taxation, Finance, Information Technologies and Analytical Methods of Decision Making.

The economic security provision both as for the whole state and economic activity individual subjects (enterprises) plays an important role in the economy formation and development. Therefore, education in the field of economic security is one of the most demand trends nowadays. The concept of the program is based on an understanding of the growing relevance of protecting the business entities interests from the negative the external environment and internal threats impact in the context of the economy globalization.

Economic security specialists carry out corporate security organization at the economic entities level, solving professional tasks in economic, financial, industrial and economic services of enterprises, organizations, state and local authorities, in order to avoid possible threats to economic security.

The features of the Educational program “Economic Security” implementation are:

1. Preparation of students for professional activity in organizations of different forms of ownership, which protect the economic interests of the state, enterprises and institutions and operate both domestically and abroad.

2. The program covers both economic and legal disciplines. In the course of training the skills of project work and team interaction will be gained.

3. Students acquire the skills of competitive intelligence, compliance control of business entities and anti-raiding policies development.

4. Graduates of the program are in demand in the labor market as highly qualified specialists of financial-analytical services and security services of enterprises and organizations.

The Economic Security graduates’ competence makes it possible to ensure compliance with the economic security of society, the state and the individual, subjects of economic activity; to act as consultants in forensic activities in the sphere of providing justice in economic matters, issues of prevention, detection and investigation of offenses in the economy sphere.

Graduates can work in state and regional government bodies, tax, control and law enforcement agencies, in economic services of enterprises, organizations and institutions.

The educational program ‘Enterprise Economics’ is focused on the development of modern economic thinking among students and gaining skills of analytical research of the development of social and economic processes based on the modern methods, technologies, and tools that take into account the laws of building information interaction.

The program is supposed to provide training of qualified specialists in the field of strategic business planning and development of social and economic systems, information and communication technologies, economic and mathematical analysis for decision making and enterprise management.

Graduates of the program have the competence to develop policies for businesses for ensuring their competitiveness in the market; ability to form strategic plans for the company development, create models of business processes, ensure and analyze current economic activities, predict the development of business structures.

Graduates of the program can fulfill themselves in the regional and national labor market as specialists in the field of enterprise management based on the use of information and communication technologies.

The purpose of the educational program «Economics» is the preparation of highly qualified, competitive, integrated in the European and world scientific and educational space specialist of the PhD degree in the field of social and behavioral sciences in specialty 051 «Economics», capable of independent scientific research, scientific-organizational, pedagogical, organizational and pedagogical activity and also practical activities in economic science, government and business, as well as teaching at higher education institutions.

Preparation of higher education applicants of the third (educational and science) level of educational program «Economy» provides:

- personal research potential’s development, creative system thinking, a set of general and professional competences in economics, sufficient to produce new ideas, solving complex problems in the field of professional, research and innovation activity;

- mastering and critical understanding of the principles of theoretical and methodological, information and instrumental economic research apparatus;

- mastering the methodology of scientific and pedagogical activities;

- conducting author’s scientific research in the field of economic science with the results, which are of scientific novelty, theoretical and practical importance.

Graduates of educational program «Economics» realize themselves in the scientific, organizational, management and educational fields. PhD in Economics can work as a lecturer in economic disciplines in higher education institutions, a researcher in analytical and information institutions, research scientific institutions, in the business field.
